To register for a class, please call us at (314) 401-0771 or email us at info@fusionbysmh.com unless noted in the class description. Total payment is due upon registration. A $20 penalty will be added to the total amount due to returned checks or declined credit cards. If a minimum enrollment is not met, sessions may be cancelled and students will be notified in advance and a full refund will be made.
Notice of withdrawals must be 48 hours before the start of class in order to receive a full refund. Failure to attend does not constitute an official withdrawal.

Beyond the Bouquet

Create a beautiful fresh seasonal floral arrangement every class. Dawson provides the theme or idea equipment, flowers and know how to this 2 hour adult session. Often you will bring your own basket, bowl, or container so that the centerpiece suits your décor. Learn how to use found objects, cuttings from your yard and incorporate them into your creation. Tea/Mimosas are complimentary and socializing is encouraged. The flowers and theme change with the season and we will target holidays with our choices.
Ceramic Gingerbread Family
Duration: One session
Time: 2 hours
Age Requirement: all ages
Prerequisite: none
Cost: $10 per ornament
Instructor: Dawson Morgan
Ceramic artist Dawson Morgan teaches you the very basics in this 2 hour class. These gingerbread cuties are brown clay cut with cookie cutters then accented by porcelain slip icing. You engrave the back with your name, date or write something personal in the clay. The process is very similar to baking, take a brown cookie and pipe white icing for decoration, but you can’t eat these. Come in with everyone and make your whole gingerbread family. These are not just flat either you can make them run, hug, or wave hello if you bend the clay figure it creates a little added drama. Cost is $10 per ornament.
Drawing
Duration: Three sessions
Time: 2 hours each session
Age Requirement: 8 to 11, 12 to 15, and 16 to adult

Students will learn how to draw from life by means of direct observation. Instructor, who is a master draftsman, will teach you everything you need to know so you can draw well. Classes are designed to increase student confidence in their drawing skills.
Private art lessons are also available at $40 per hour - all supplies are included.
Dyeing Silk
Duration: One session
Time: 2 hours
Age Requirement: Ages 6 to 10, 11 to 14 and 15 to adult.
Mother daughter classes are also available upon request.

Using fibre reactive dyes, we will learn how to tub dye silk, texture dye silk, utilize silk salts and set dye in silk. By the end of the evening you will have 4 completed scarves to take home with you. As well as a set of written directions so you can continue the fun at home.
Felting Handmade Soap (commonly called Soap Coats)
Duration: One session
Time: 1 Hour
Age Requirement: 8 and over
Prerequisite: none
Minimum class size: 4
Cost: $25 (includes all materials) Students are asked to bring a two quart plastic container (wide opening) and a bath towel.
Instructor: Elizabeth Lemp
Students will learn the technique of using 100% merino wool roving to encase a bar of soap. Students will use all natural merino wool to felt a handmade bar of soap. Soap scents will vary, and students will be able to choose from a variety of available soaps.
This class is also perfect for birthday parties, scout groups, or as a group activity before meeting friends for Happy Hour!
Mixed Media Collage
Duration: One Session
Time: 2 hours
Age Requirement: 7 to 10, 11 to 14, and 15 to adult.

Instructor: Cathy Loos
Instructor will show you how to create your special piece of art by combining more than one medium: acrylic, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, and/or ink. In addition, a variety of other materials will be available to add to your artwork. Students are welcome to bring their own elements, such as photos, or scraps of material, etc., to include in their creation.
Resin Bottlecap Magnets
Duration: One session
Time: 2 hours
Age Requirement: 8 and over
Prerequisite: none
Cost: $25 (includes all materials) Students are encouraged to bring their own decorative paper, embellishments, photos, etc.
Instructor: Jessi Gisburne
This class teaches how to make decorative magnets that feature your own personal touch. The student learns to fill empty bottle caps (supplied) with resin, colors, and decorative papers creating fun and personalized magnets. He or she will be taught techniques that will be helpful in making resin jewelry as well as other resin arts and crafts. Contact Jessi at 636.578.6923 to schedule a class.
Students will be able to pick up their finished magnets during the next open business day. (Fusion is open every Wednesday - Sunday)
Scouting Emblem
Duration: One session
Time: 1 hour
Age Requirement: Anyone including adults through seniors, or your special group.
We will arrange what is appropriate for your individual goals and schedule.
Prerequisite: none
Cost: $20 all supplies included
Instructor: Dawson Morgan
Make your own Scouting Emblem with ceramic Artist Dawson Morgan. First collect the troop, den, or pack and contact Dawson to schedule your studio time. You will decorate, add texture, and sign your own name to your ceramic Fleur de lis. Dawson will then fire your masterpiece and it will be ready the next week. To earn your Art badges you also will meet different Fusion artists who can answer any of your questions about the arts as a profession. Ages 8 up and parents welcome to join the hour long craft creating session. Contact her at 314-808-0064 to schedule a class!

Square Stitch Bracelet
Duration: 2 sessions
Time: 2 hours each session
Ages: 12+
Prerequisite: None
Cost: $80 (includes all materials)

Create a square stitch base bracelet in the first session. Learn to embellish your bracelet in the second session. Each student will learn how to embellish their bracelets with their own unique, personal style. Contact Jessi at 636.578.6923 to schedule a class.
